In May 2026, Ukrainian IT services exports amounted to $560 million, which is $18 million or 3.1% less compared to April, when the volume reached $578 million.

Despite the monthly decline, the sector shows positive dynamics in annual terms. While in May 2025 IT services exports stood at $545 million, the current figure has increased by $15 million, corresponding to a growth of 2.8%. This indicates a gradual recovery of the sector even under difficult economic conditions and high competition in the international market.

The IT industry continues to play one of the leading roles in the structure of Ukrainian services exports. In May, its share was 39.4%, although a year earlier this figure was slightly higher – 42.1%.

The largest customer of Ukrainian IT services remains the United States, where services worth $208 million were exported in May. Next is the United Kingdom with $47 million, Malta – $43 million, Cyprus – $34 million, Poland – $22 million, Switzerland and Estonia – $21 million each, the UAE – $20 million, Israel – $19 million, and Germany – $17 million.

During January-May, export dynamics remained uneven. In January, the export volume was $508 million, in February it rose to $544 million, in March it reached the maximum for the year at $592 million, after which it decreased in April to $578 million, and in May to $560 million.

March became the most successful month of 2026, when exports increased by $48 million or 8.8% compared to February. According to the results of the first 5 months, Ukraine exported IT services totaling $2.782 billion. For comparison, in the same period last year this figure was $2.684 billion, meaning annual growth reached $98 million or 3.7%.

One of the promising areas of development is defense technologies.
