The situation on the Ukrainian butter market in July has not improved. The supply of products continues to exceed demand, opportunities for selling surpluses are limited, and prices are low.

Despite some increase in prices on the European market, exports to EU countries remain economically unprofitable for most Ukrainian producers. The best price offers currently come from buyers from the Caucasus countries, while the European market does not provide sufficient margins.

The volumes of butter exports continue to decline. Packaged products are in the greatest demand, which so far allows producers to maintain minimal profitability. Overall, in the first half of the year, butter supplies abroad decreased twofold compared to the same period last year, while export prices also decreased significantly.

At the same time, exports of spreads and vegetable-butter mixtures decreased much less than butter exports. The main demand for such products remains in the markets of the Middle East.
