In July 2026, Ukraine imported 562,000 tonnes of diesel fuel, 5% more than during the same period last year.
The main suppliers were Poland, Romania, and Lithuania, which together accounted for 83% of total imports.
Poland remained the largest source of supply, increasing shipments to nearly 203,000 tonnes, up 26% compared with 161,000 tonnes in July 2025. Imports from Lithuania also rose significantly, by 65% to 84,300 tonnes.
In southern Ukraine, imports increased only from Romania, rising by 25% to 179,000 tonnes – the highest monthly volume since the beginning of 2025.
Meanwhile, imports from Turkey and Israel fell to only occasional shipments, while supplies from Greece decreased by 45% compared with July 2025, to 33,000 tonnes.
Despite the increase in total imports, the Ukrainian diesel market experienced a shortage in July.
Among corporate suppliers, ORLEN S.A. remained the largest. Combined shipments from its refineries in Poland and Lithuania amounted to 137,000 tonnes of diesel fuel, 25% more than in July 2025 and 61% more than in July 2024.
A total of 134 companies imported diesel fuel into Ukraine during the month.
