Romania has built a bridge across the Tisza and a new border crossing point (BCP) on the border with Ukraine

The Head of the Zakarpattia Regional Council Roman Saray, together with the Head of the Regional Military Administration Myroslav Biletskyi and representatives of the Ukrainian and Romanian delegations, worked directly at the site of the future border crossing point “Bila Tserkva – Sighetu Marmației”. They inspected the infrastructure and conducted a technical presentation of the new bridge across the Tisza River.

The new crossing will relieve colossal pressure from the “Solotvyno – Sighetu Marmației” checkpoint, where a weight restriction (up to 3.5 tons) is currently in effect. The new bridge will allow both freight and passenger transport to pass.

At the same time, the opening of the BCP means new jobs, the development of services, logistics centers and the hotel business in the Solotvyno community and surrounding villages.
