Ukraine will work on increasing supplies and promoting goods with higher added value: poultry products, pork products, processed food products and other categories that generate more income inside the country.
The main directions were the markets of Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, the USA and Vietnam.
Ukraine already has practical results in opening new directions for agrarian export. In 2025, together with the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, 19 new markets for Ukrainian agrarian products were opened. In 2026, Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Georgia and Vietnam were added to this list. In total, more than 300 export directions are being worked on: from approval of certificates to procedures for admission of certain types of products.
Among the specific results, they named the conduct of the first remote audit in the history of the European Commission for heat-treated pork, as well as the securing of an annual quota for the supply of poultry meat to the EU in the amount of 120 thousand tons.
For the Ukrainian producer, an open market means new contracts, stable supplies and the opportunity to increase production in Ukraine. Our priority is markets where Ukrainian products with higher added value can be competitive: poultry farming, pig farming, processing, ready-made food products.
In addition, the participants discussed the ratification of the Free Trade Agreement with Turkey, in particular the possibilities of liberalizing sugar trade. Among other issues – opening the EU and Moldova markets for Ukrainian hatching eggs, export of biomethane to the EU and preserving simplified access for Ukrainian goods to the EU and UK markets after the completion of the current trade regimes.
