The Customs Service states that it has fulfilled 96% of its obligations under the Association Agreement with the EU

As of the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has achieved 96% fulfillment of its obligations in the customs sphere under the Association Agreement with the EU, as reflected in the Report prepared by the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. The draft of the new Customs Code is currently undergoing approval before consideration by the Government.

According to the results of the first quarter of 2026, UAH 199.1 billion in customs payments were directed to the state budget, which is 30.3% or UAH 46.35 billion more than in the same period last year.

At the same time, the volume of benefits granted on the import of goods, in particular for defense and energy, increased by 58.8% and amounted to UAH 104.3 billion.

Within the framework of the “customs visa-free regime” (NCTS), 46.3 thousand transit declarations were processed, which is 20.5 thousand more than last year.

The number of enterprises with the status of an authorized economic operator increased by 8, and the total number of authorizations granted for the application of simplifications exceeded 1,435.

Ukraine’s total trade turnover reached USD 33.5 billion, which is USD 5.1 billion more than in the first quarter of 2025.

In addition, the automatic processing of import declarations has been launched and digital services for business have been expanded.
