Ukrainian mollusk producers in the first quarter sent 244 t of products to foreign markets, which is 27.1% higher than the figures for the same period last year.

Growth was also recorded in financial terms. The value of exported mollusks reached $662 thousand, which is 14.5% more than in January – March 2025.

The main consumer of Ukrainian mollusks remains the EU. In the first quarter of 2026, the main buyers were: Spain – 87.22%; Italy – 4.8%; Germany – 3.3%.

At the same time, domestic demand for this category of goods has also grown. The volume of mollusk imports to Ukraine increased by 18.5% – to 1.1 thousand t. The key suppliers to the Ukrainian market were China (39.7%), Peru (26.7%) and France (12.1%).
