Poland has become one of the key suppliers of fertilizers to Ukraine

Due to the destruction of the industrial base, Ukraine is increasing imports of mineral fertilizers. Currently, Poland has become one of the main suppliers of these products to the Ukrainian market with a share of about 25%, surpassing Bulgaria, Morocco and China.

In 2024, the value of fertilizer imports amounted to $1.27 billion. Last year, the volume of supplies reached 3.285 million tons, which is 13% higher than in the previous period. Ukraine entered the spring of 2026 with a significant fertilizer deficit – total demand this year exceeds 5 million tons of these compounds.

Polish companies are filling the niche. The dynamics of sales from Poland are as follows:

in 2022 – $251 million;

in 2024 – $319 million;

last year (preliminary data) – over $350 million.
