Sunflower oil production in the 2025/26 MY is expected at 4.6 million tons, which is 10% lower than the previous season (5.1 million tons).

Exports of this product will decrease by 6.4% and amount to 4.4 million tons.

At the same time, there is no decrease in foreign exchange earnings from sunflower oil exports; on the contrary, there is growth compared to the previous MY, which is explained by rising prices for this product on the global market.

Experts explained the decline in production and exports of oil and meal by a decrease in sunflower seed production in Ukraine. In particular, sunflower yields decreased by 16.8%.
