Cheese imports increased by 4.9% in two months

In January–February 2026, Ukraine imported 6.4 thousand tons of cheese, which is 4.9% more than in the first two months of last year.

Imports of cheese cost $39.9 million – 10.8% more than in January–February 2025. Cheese was mainly imported into Ukraine from Poland (47.5%), Germany (16.1%), and the Netherlands (8.1%).

Exports of Ukrainian cheese in January–February this year reached 2.3 thousand tons – 15% more than in the same period last year.

In monetary terms, exports amounted to $10 million, which is 6.4% higher than in January–February 2025.

The largest buyers of domestic cheese during the first two months of 2026 were Moldova (37.2%), Kazakhstan (22.7%), and Germany (13%).
