The Slovak oil refining company Slovnaft is temporarily suspending diesel fuel exports to Ukraine and other export deliveries.
The Slovak government has declared a state of emergency in the energy sector and decided to release part of the strategic oil reserves in the form of a loan to the company Slovnaft, which operates the only oil refinery in Slovakia.
The enterprise is to receive a maximum of 250 thousand tons of oil – this should be sufficient for approximately one month of operation in minimum mode while ensuring the domestic market.
In addition, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated that Hungary is also suspending diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine until the resumption of Russian oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline through Ukrainian territory.
