Live cattle exports brought Ukraine $43.5 million last year

Live cattle exports in 2025 increased by 3.9% compared to 2024, reaching 18.8 thousand tonnes. 

In monetary terms, live cattle exports rose by 22.5% over the 2024 figure, amounting to $43.5 million. 

Throughout 2025, live cattle from Ukraine was primarily purchased by Lebanon (85.9%), Kazakhstan (7.2%), and Libya (5.8%). 

Live cattle imports last year grew by 38.2% compared to 2024, reaching 659 tonnes. 

Ukrainian farmers spent 73.3% more on purchasing live cattle from abroad than in 2024 – $5.2 million. 

In 2025, live cattle was purchased from the Czech Republic (97.5%), Estonia (1.7%), and Lithuania (0.8%).
