Turkey becomes a key export destination for Ukrainian barley

From July to November 2025, Turkey increased its purchases of Ukrainian barley by 6.4 times compared to the same period last season, from 36 thousand tons to 233 thousand tons, ranking second among importers with a 20% share of total Ukrainian barley exports.

China remained the largest importer with a 42% share, although shipments declined by 31% compared to the previous season.

Overall, from July 1 to January 17, Ukraine exported 1.32 million tons of barley (compared to 2 million tons last year), leaving approximately 1.2–1.3 million tons available for export in the second half of the season.
