Companies have doubled the booked capacities for importing natural gas from Greece to Ukraine via the joint Route 1 route for December – to 1.2 million cubic meters per day.
Operators of the Transbalkan route offered about 2.2 million cubic meters of capacity per day for booking in December, of which companies booked 1.2 million cubic meters, or 60%.
This is the highest booking volume in the entire history of the route. For example, in November companies booked twice less – 0.6 million cubic meters per day.
In July–August 2025, about 18 million cubic meters of natural gas were imported to Ukraine via Route 1, and since the beginning of November – another over 14 million cubic meters.
Consultations are ongoing regarding new routes for supplying natural gas from Greece to Ukraine – Route 2 and Route 3.
