Ukrainian ice cream exports to the United Kingdom have increased nearly 20-fold

Since the start of the full-scale war, the United Kingdom has introduced zero tariffs on all goods of Ukrainian origin. This has stimulated ice cream exports to the Kingdom: shipments grew from 4 tons in 2022 to 76 tons last year.

A similar situation exists with Montenegro, where a zero rate has been in place since 2012, yet exports of dairy products are absent. Canada updated its free trade agreement, but volumes remain insignificant, although there is growth in cheese exports. Following the agreement with North Macedonia, there has been some increase in exports of milk and cream. Switzerland has agreed to establish a zero rate for Ukrainian cheeses.

In the UAE, a 5% duty applies to dairy products from Ukraine, but upon the entry into force of the Free Trade Agreement, zero rates were immediately set for 13 tariff lines, including cheeses and butter, which are currently the main export items to the Emirates.

The EU remains the most important export market for any Ukrainian goods.

According to data for January–September 2025, the top 5 importers of Ukrainian milk and dairy products are: Moldova, Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan.

In terms of imports, Poland is the undisputed leader, along with other EU countries: Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and France.
