In October 2025, Ukraine increased exports of dairy products, supplying 8.96 thousand tons to foreign markets, while reducing exports of butter.
Compared to the previous year, the physical volume of exports grew by 5%, and export revenue increased by 12%. In total, over the 10 months of this year, Ukraine exported 111.11 thousand tons (+9%) of dairy products worth $347.87 million (+39%).
The main export categories in October were: Butter – 21%; Cheeses – 27%; Condensed milk and cream – 20%; Casein – 9%.
Compared to September, Ukraine reduced the physical volume of butter exports to 714 tons (-22%) and ice cream to 348 tons (-49.6%). The largest increases were recorded for whey – to 1.31 thousand tons (+25%) and cheese – to 1.41 thousand tons (+16%).
In terms of revenue in October (compared to September), the largest growth was seen in exports of non-condensed milk and cream – to $1.88 million (+10%) and whey – to $1.44 million (+27%), while revenue decreased for butter (-24%) and ice cream
(-46%).
Over the 10 months of the current year, the largest volumes of Ukrainian exports went to: Moldova – non-condensed milk and cream (92%), fermented milk products (84%), butter (29%) and cheese (34%); Poland – condensed milk and cream (19.5%), whey (34%) and casein (49%); Germany – ice cream (29%).
