Ukraine’s Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development and Norway’s Ministry of Transport have extended the “transport visa-free regime” for freight transport until March 2027.
The decision allows Ukrainian carriers to continue performing freight transportation without the need to obtain special permits for trucks meeting the Euro-5 emission standard and higher. As a result, this expands business opportunities, speeds up logistics, and strengthens economic ties between the two countries.
The decision was made taking into account the extension of the Agreement on Road Transport between Ukraine and the EU. The “transport visa-free regime” allows freight transportation without special permits within the framework of bilateral and transit transportation.
To benefit from the liberalization measures, drivers must have a certificate confirming the vehicle environmental class.
