Ukraine increases its flax export growth rate

For the fourth month in a row, Ukraine has been increasing its flax exports amid strong demand for this product from EU countries.

In October of this year, Ukraine exported 7,65 thousand tons of flax (compared to 6,07 thousand tons in the previous month). From this amount France purchased 43,1%, Poland – 16,8, and Italy – 11,4%

The increase of flax exports began in July this year, during the active harvesting phase of this crop. Flax exports in July were recorded at 1,37 thousand tons, in August - 3,3 thousand tons.

The maximum bid prices for flax in Ukrainian ports have decreased by 800 UAH per ton over the past month, and as of November 6, usually do not exceed 28500 UAH per ton CPT-port.
