From January to August 2025, Ukraine significantly increased its imports of aluminum ores and concentrates (bauxites). In physical terms, imports increased by 87.1% compared to the same period last year, reaching 23.984 thousand tons.

In monetary terms, imports increased by 63.7%, reaching $2.642 million.

The main supplier countries remain Turkey, accounting for over 82% of the import value, and China, contributing nearly 18%. As in previous years, no re-export of bauxites from Ukraine was recorded.

Import trends in previous years also show significant growth. In 2024, bauxite imports increased by 77.4%, reaching 35.173 thousand tons, with a value of $4.107 million. In 2023, imports amounted to 19.830 thousand tons, valued at $2.360 million.
