Ukraine increased cheese exports

Ukraine’s cheese exports from January to August 2025 increased by 25.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching 9.4 thousand tons.

In monetary terms, exports for January-August amounted to $42.8 million, a 32.1% increase over the same eight months in 2024.

The largest buyers of Ukrainian cheese during the reporting period were Moldova (34.4%), Kazakhstan (30.2%), and Germany (9%).

Ukraine imported 26 thousand tons of cheese in January-August 2025, a 14% increase compared to the same period last year.

In monetary terms, cheese imports for the eight months increased by 22.4% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching $164.8 million.

Cheeses were primarily imported to Ukraine from Poland (44.8%), Germany (14.4%), and the Netherlands (8.1%).
