The Ukrainian agency insured the first investment loan against war risks

The Export Credit Agency (ECA) of Ukraine concluded the 1st investment credit insurance contract against war risks.

"Ukrainian ECA has also already started insuring against war risks. We have a specific case — a Ukrainian commercial bank issued a loan for the purchase of a gas turbine generator, and ECA provided coverage for this investment. I am especially grateful that the first insurance of investments with us is specifically for the development of alternative generation and support of the energy industry,"-  said the Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yuliya Svyridenko.

"Flexores" is the leading manufacturer of products for flexographic and rotogravure printing in Ukraine, became the first company to receive credit agreement insurance against war risks. The company concluded an investment loan agreement with MTB Bank under the "Affordable loans 5-7-9%" program for the purchase of a mini thermal power plant.

Both Ukrainian and foreign investors can apply to ECA for investment protection under certain conditions, in particular if they own more than 10% of the corporate rights in the project, invest in the creation of facilities or infrastructure for the development of processing and export, the investment facilities are located in Ukraine, and the exported goods meet the requirements of the law on the promotion of export activity.
