Export of poultry meat from Ukraine in January-August 2024 is 301,7 thousand tons

Deliveries of poultry meat from Ukraine to foreign markets in January-August 2024, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, increased and amounted to 301,7 thousand tons for 633,4 million US dollars.

Ukraine actively sells poultry meat to the Netherlands.

In January-August 2023, Ukraine sold 538,79 thousand tons to foreign markets for 287,99 million USD.

Poultry meat supplies from Ukraine to foreign markets in 2023, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will amount to 424 575 thousand tons worth 799 554 million USD compared to 413 197 thousand tons worth 852 882 million USD in 2022.

The EU extended the regime of liberal trade with Ukraine for the period June 2024-June 2025.

Poultry meat is included into the list of sensitive goods for the EU, the possible volumes of deliveries are the average volume of deliveries for the period 2023-2022-second half of 2021.

From June 2022, Ukraine will supply food to the EU markets without duties and quotas, as the European Commission, as a gesture of support for Ukraine, has lifted all restrictions.

By 2022, the (main) quota for poultry supplies to EU markets was 70 000 tons, an additional 20 000 tons as part of the Free Trade Agreement.
