Ukraine has exported snails worth $3,6 million

In January - July 2024, Ukraine exported 50,4% more shellfish than in the same period last year - 704 tons.

In monetary terms, sales of molluscs to foreign markets during seven months of this year made it possible to increase revenue by a third - up to $3,6 million.

The main buyers of domestic shellfish during the seven months of 2024 were Lithuania (59%), Spain (21,3%) and Poland (8%).

The import of shellfish for the seven months of 2024 also increased (by 10,7%) and reached 3,1 thousand tons. In monetary terms, $11,2 million was spent on the import of shellfish, which is 27,3% more than in January - July 2023. China (33,3%), France (17,2%) and Chile (16,8%) were the largest suppliers of shellfish to the domestic market in seven months this year.
