Grain from Ukraine: 23 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn were sent to Mozambique and Malawi

Ukraine sent a ship with more than 3,8 thousand tons of corn to Mozambique and 19,2 thousand tons to Malawi within the Grain from Ukraine initiative.

First, the cargo goes to Mozambique by sea, and only then it will be transported to Malawi by land. Upon arrival, the corn, along with other products, will be used by the World Food Program for distribution to the socially vulnerable categories of the local population. Ukrainian corn will allow WFP to support about 200 000 people in Mozambique and 900 000 people in Malawi with food for 3 months.

It is noted that this shipment was made possible thanks to the donor contributions of Sweden, the Netherlands, France, South Korea and Portugal.
