The EBRD will provide about 400 million euros for the renewal of the electric locomotives for Ukrzaliznytsia and the recovery of the network of Ukrposhta branches, in particular, the installation of new container-type post offices in the affected and de-occupied territories.

The project for the renewal of electric locomotives provides obtaining a credit from the EBRD under a state guarantee in the amount of up to 300 million euros. It will be co-financed by a parallel investment grant of 190 million US dollars, which will be administered by the World Bank within the framework of the program "Recovery of the main logistics infrastructure and network connection". Thanks to the financing of the project by international partners, the purchase of 80 electric locomotives is planned.

According to the second project, the operational deployment of container-type offices in the affected and de-occupied territories is planned, as well as the expansion of work through mobile post offices. The EBRD plans to allocate almost 104 million euros for this project.
