In the first half of the 2023/24 marketing year, Ukraine could export 31,0 million tons of agricultural products of various types, which is 17% less than the same indicator last year.
After the cessation of the full functioning of the grain corridor in 2023, within the framework of the agreement with Türkiye and the UN, Ukraine's ability to export its food products has significantly reduced. However, export gradually began to recover, primarily due to ensuring the functioning of its own grain corridor. In December 2023, Ukraine managed to export 7,7 million tons of agricultural products, which is 15% more than in the previous month.
As for the structure of product export in December 2023, it looked as follows:
– grain crops: 5,4 million tons (corn – 64%, wheat – 32%, barley – 4%), changes compared to last month: +20%;
- oil crops - 774,0 thousand tons (soybeans - 56%, rapeseed - 37% and sunflower seeds - 5%), changes: -14%;
- vegetable oils - 708,3 thousand tons (sunflower oil - 95%, soybean oil - 4% and rapeseed oil - 2%), changes: +15%.
- cakes after extraction of vegetable oils - 493,7 thousand tons (sunflower - 82%, soybean - 18%), changes: +7%;
- other types of agro-industrial products - 401,0 thousand tons (+5%).
