Ukraine has restricted the import of eggs, poultry and their products from a number of US states due to an outbreak of bird flu. From November 6, the ban applies to the states of Alabama, Washington and California. From October 31, there is a restriction on products from the states of Oregon and Iowa, from October 24 - from the states of Minnesota, Montana, Utah and South Dakota.

The exception is products that have been processed by a method that guarantees the destruction of the causative agent of the specified disease in accordance with the Requirements for importing into the customs territory of Ukraine food products of animal origin, fodder, hay, straw, as well as by-products of animal origin and products of their processing, approved by order Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine dated November 16, 2018 No. 553.
