In January-March 2023, Ukraine has exported 14 800 tons of potatoes — 45,1% more than in the same period last year. In monetary terms, the export of potatoes during the 1st quarter of 2023 fell by 14,3%, as compared to the same period last year, to 1,8 million US dollars.

Moldova (87,5%), Georgia (9,5%) and Azerbaijan (2,1%) bought the biggest volume of potatoes in Ukraine. Ukraine bought 1,8 thousand tons of potatoes abroad in January-March 2023 — 1,8 times more than in the same period last year.

During this period 1,1 million US dollars was spent on the import of potatoes, which is 95,2% more than in the first quarter of 2022. Ukraine has imported the most from the Netherlands (33,9%), Germany (27,5%) and Egypt (22,3%).
