Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko visited the enterprise where nuclear fuel will be produced for domestic atomic power units, and later for export to other countries.

For today 17 VVER-440 units have been operating in Europe, which do not yet have an alternative to russian fuel. Ukraine, in its turn, has already started the production of components of the VVER-1000 fuel units, and will later start the production of fuel for the VVER-440 units. The project is implemented by NAEC «Energoatom» in cooperation with the American company Westinghouse.
