The National Bank of Ukraine regulated the activities of the Export Credit Agency (hereinafter - ECA) as an insurer with a special status. In particular:

the procedure for inclusion of EСA in the State Register of Financial Institutions, licensing of ECA and the conditions for carrying out insurance, reinsurance, and guarantee activities by it is regulated;

requirements for the internal control system, risk management system, reporting, risk reinsurance and qualification requirements for managers and key persons of ECA have been defined;

as to the insurer with a special status, the requirements for the standard of capital adequacy and solvency have been established. The peculiarities of the formation of ECA insurance reserves are also defined.

This is informed in the resolution of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine dated January 6, 2023 No. 1 "On the approval of the Regulation on licensing of the Export Credit Agency and the conditions for its activities in insurance, reinsurance, provision of guarantees and amendments to some regulatory legal acts of the National Bank of Ukraine ", which comes into force on January 10, 2023.
