Purchases by the state and territorial communities of equipment necessary for restoring and ensuring stable operation of the power system will not be subject to the requirements of the law "On Public Procurement" on localization. This is stated in CMU Resolution No. 1261.

On November 9, 2022, with amendments to Resolution No. 224, the Government included generators, transformers, and other equipment necessary to restore and ensure stable operation of the power system to the list of goods that will be imported into Ukraine without payment of import duties and VAT.

Thus, despite the fact that this equipment is included in the list of the Law "On Public Procurement", localization requirements will not apply to it temporarily.
