The transit through the territory of belarus and russia has been closed and the number of cargo transported by automobile transport has increased. Because of this since April 4, 2022
some restrictions were cancelled or changed. The simplifications include:
increase of the period during which the electronic application for permits receival is valid from 7 to 10 days;
increased to 5 permits of all types of the Republic of Poland for one vehicle from April to May;
increased to 2 permits of all types of the Czech Republic for one month for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 10 tons;
till Romania makes a decision on the transit passage through its territory without permits, the decision was made to issue the BSEC permits for those automobile transporters, who transport goods to Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and use the Euro-3 vehicles and higher;
removed restriction on passage through the territory of Serbia (only vehicles under 10 tons).
Moreover, since the beginning of the war, the Ministry of Infrastructure organizes constant negotiations with the partner-countries about cancellation of the permits during the martial law in Ukraine.
As of April 4 they succeeded to make an agreement about cancellation of bilateral transit permits for cargo transportation with 7 countries of the European Union, including: Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Denmark, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania as well as Georgia and Turkey. Slovakia has also joined the list.
The humanitarian aid can freely cross the territory of the following countries: Moldova, Romania, Slovenia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and Lithuania.
