We inform you that according to the schedule in 2022, the World Trade Organization will review the trade policies of Georgia, the United Arab Emirates,

the Swiss Confederation, the United States, New Zealand, the Republic of Moldova, South Africa Republic, the Federal Republic of Brazil, the Republic of Kazakhstan  etc. Regular such reviews increase the transparency and predictability of WTO trade policies and is a useful tool for finding and obtaining information on international trade conditions, economic, trade and investment regimes of WTO members, and the possibility of raising issues of trade interest to countries.

In accordance with the established procedure, two main documents are discussed at the meetings of the WTO Trade Policy Review Body - reports prepared by the WTO Secretariat and the governments of the WTO members under review. Such reports provide in-depth information on various aspects of WTO members' trade policy, including regulatory specifics, export and import conditions for goods and services, statistics, etc. After the spreading of these reports, other WTO members, including Ukraine, may submit written questions and receive answers directly from the country undergoing this procedure. Questions and answers are also discussed during the meeting, and after its completion are published on the official website of the WTO. The reports become available to the public on the second day after the meeting (can be downloaded at the link).  

In order to prepare for the reviews of trade policies of WTO members, the Ministry of Economy has developed questionnaires, after their filling enterprises, institutions, organizations and other stakeholders can also join the process and ask questions. Completed questionnaires will be developed by the Ministry of Economy and taken into account in the process of preparing a consolidated format of questions that will be sent to the WTO Secretariat officially from Ukraine.
