On May 19, the Ministry of Justice registered the order of the Ministry of Economy 41741 of April 12 ,,On approval of the hygienic requirements for the production and circulation of natural mineral waters and spring waters.”

The order determines the hygienic requirements for:

• production and circulation of natural mineral water and spring water;
• machinery and technological equipment used during the above processes;
• treatment of natural mineral and spring waters.

The order also regulates the issue of labeling and application of certain types of statements to natural mineral and spring waters (such as: ,,stimulates digestion”, ,,suitable for  babies’ formula” etc.).

The order is based on and meets the requirements of  Directive 2009/54 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 June 2009 on the use and locating on the market of natural mineral waters.

The order shall enter into force in three months after its official publication.
