According to the data, provided by the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, Ukrainian agrarians continue exports of cereal crops during the quarantine and from the beginning of 2019-2020 marketing year (hereinafter – the MY, July 2019 – June 2020) has exported 51,47 million tons of grain and this is 8,1 million tons more in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Moreover, this amount is 95% of the forecast exports volumes.
If we go into details, Ukraine has exported 19,2 million tons of wheat, 4,7 million tons of barley, 26,8 million tons of corn and 8,2 thousand tons of rye. Moreover, 299,7 thousand tons of wheat and other crops’ flour have been delivered to the external markets and this is 51,7 thousand tons more in comparison with the same period of the previous MY. The UNIAN has reported that, according to the data, provided by the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, the harvest in Ukraine in 2019 amounted to 75 million tons, 54 million tons from which, will be exported to external markets. Ukraine has also approved the limits for wheat exports, which amounts to 20,2 million tons. Ukrainian exports of cereal crops in 2018-2019 MY amounted to 49,7 million tons and this is the record volume since the Independence of Ukraine. The previous record in cereal crops exports was set in 2016-2017 MY and it was 43,8 million tons.
