In January-September of 2023 Ukraine exported 39,5 thousand tons of eggs and this is 1,9 times more than y-o-y.

In monetary terms the exports of eggs during three quarters of this year has increased by 1,7 times in comparison with the same period of 2022 (to 50,2 million USD). In particular in September 4,5 thousand tons of eggs worth 5,2 million USD were exported.

In January-September of 2023 Ukraine exported 6,4 thousand tons of butter and this is 35,4 % less than y-o-y. In monetary terms the exports of butter amounted to 33,6 million USD and this is 41,5% less in comparison with the same period of 2022. In particular in September 0,6 thousand tons of butter worth 3 million USD were exported. The biggest amounts of Ukrainian butter during 9 months of this year have been bought by Moldova (33,2%), Azerbaijan (17,7%) and Israel (13,3%).

In monetary terms the imports of cheese during three quarters increased by 3,4% in comparison with the same period of 2022 (to 141,6 million USD). Cheese was mostly imported to Ukraine from Poland (42,7%), Germany (21,7%), the Netherlands (8,8%). Exports of Ukrainian cheese during January-September of 2023 amounted to 6,2 thousand tons, which is 12,7% more than y-o-y.

The Hungarian government lifted the ban on the import of Ukrainian cane and beet sugar, which was introduced after September 15, 2023. From now on, Ukrainian sugar can be freely imported into Hungary, as it has been removed from the list of products subject to the import ban.
