In the first half of the 2023/24 season, Ukrainian sugar export amounted to 430 000 tons, which is 60% higher than last year's figure. Ukrainian sugar export in March 2024 amounted to 81 thousand tons, compared with 75 thousand tons in the previous month and 48 thousand tons in March 2023. During January-March 2024, Ukraine has imported goods for the amount of 16 billion US dollars, and has exported goods for the amount of 10 billion US dollars.
Taxed import amounted to 13,8 billion US dollars, which is 86% of the total volume of imported goods.
The tax burden on 1 kg of taxed imports in January-March 2024 was 0,49 US dollars/kg, which is 8% more than in the same period of 2023.
